FUNDAMENTALS OF BIBLICAL COUNSELING
Module 101 Fundamentals covers a wide range of essentials in the theology and philosophy of Biblical Counseling. A substantial amount of time is spent understanding the distinctive biblical principles and theology that underpin our approach to soul care. You will examine and contrast different schools of psychological thought in light of Scripture and begin the paradigm shift from man's psychological models to God's biblical truth.Along the way, the student will be trained in the use of the Self-Confrontation Manual and in the effective use of counseling homework. This is coupled with a lecture series that focuses on real world scenarios and techniques for leading counselees to Christ.

An in-depth discussion involving the dangers of psychological integration with the ministry of soul care will be a central theme in this course. Module 102 Methodology systematically tackles some of the most-encountered issues in the counseling room with tried-and-true principles from Scripture. The student is taught to think biblically about the nature of man, anger, depression, bipolar, ADHD, anxiety, addictions, and much more. The student will be taught effective techniques for pursuing heart change and life transformation through use of specific assignments and practical application of Spiritual truths.

Module 104 Certification Prep walks you step-by-step through all the necessary material to successfully pass the written portions of the FBC, ACBC, and IABC certification exams. This course is especially geared for those who have trouble taking exams and need specific coaching through the material.

The student will focus on taking a series of 4 examinations that will evaluate what they have learned over the progression of the training. These exams are open book and open Bible. Specific instruction and coaching are provided regarding the content and material featured on the exam.
