Truth & Light Conference 2026
Reclaiming Counseling in the Local Church
The Central Role of the Local Church in the Care of Souls
The care of souls was never meant to exist apart from the life, authority, and fellowship of the local church. From the beginning, Christ has entrusted His people to counsel one another through the faithful proclamation of the gospel, loving admonition, wise instruction, and purposeful discipleship.
Truth & Light Conference is a two-day conference designed to re-center biblical counseling, evangelism, and soul care within the God-ordained context of the local church. Rooted in Scripture—especially Colossians 1:28 and Hebrews 10:24–25—this conference calls pastors, counselors, missionaries, teachers, ministry workers, and faithful believers to recover a robust, church-based vision for caring for souls toward maturity in Christ.
The apostle Paul summarizes the heart of ministry this way: “Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.” This conference takes that vision seriously, exploring how Christ’s work of transformation is carried out through ordinary yet powerful means within the gathered body—preaching, teaching, mutual care, accountability, and discipleship.
This conference is especially suited for those who desire to practice biblical counseling and caring ministry under Christ’s authority, within the fellowship of the church, and toward the goal of maturity in Christ.

Preconference Focus | Friday, March 6thThe pre-conference sessions will examine how the church is uniquely designed to function as both a counseling center and an evangelistic center. Participants will be encouraged to see counseling and evangelism not as competing ministries, but as complementary expressions of proclaiming Christ to struggling sinners and saints alike. |
Main Conference Focus | Saturday, March 7thThe main conference will expand this vision by exploring the church as the context for soul care, highlighting how training, spiritual care, and sanctification are meant to occur within the body of Christ. Sessions will address the church’s God-given role as a training center, spiritual care center, and sanctification center, with time set aside for thoughtful Q&A and pastoral reflection. |
Join us March 6–7, 2026, as we seek to reclaim and rejoice in Christ’s design for the care of souls in the care of His church.

Children's Program
for Saturday, March 7th | Main Conference
We will also provide a full Children’s Program on Saturday during the conference. Your children will enjoy their very own conference experience alongside yours!
A Wonderful Morning for Your Children
While you attend the conference sessions, your children (ages 3 through 6th grade) will enjoy a Christ-centered and fun-filled program on the campus of Timberlake Christian School. (Nursery care will also be provided at the church for infants through age 2)
We've prepared a joyful and meaningful Children's Program, led by a loving team of trained leaders and volunteers who are excited to serve your children. They will enjoy:
• Music and prayer
• Sound biblical teaching
• Crafts, games, and fun activities
• Fellowship with friends
• Delicious meals and snacks throughout the day (breakfast, mid-morning snack, and lunch included!)
What Your Children Will Learn
Throughout the morning, children will discover how they were created to love God and love others. They'll explore what it means to love God with their whole heart and to love their neighbor as themselves—focusing on being in right relationship with God and, from that foundation, growing in love toward others. Teaching will include truths about salvation, sanctification, and biblical peacemaking.
Our desire isn't simply to provide childcare, but to offer a rich, Christ-centered experience where your children are faithfully taught God's Word.
Join Us!
We truly hope families will take advantage of this blessing. It's our prayer that this day will encourage both you and your children as we grow together in faith and love for one another.
